Italian drama veteran Vincenzo Mosca is developing projects based on the novels Anna Karenina and The Ides of March via his fledging producer-distributor TVCO.
Naples-based TVCO is working on a feature film based on 2008 period novel The Ides of March, written by Italian author Valerio Massimo Manfredi. Mosca told C21 there are also plans for a seven-part TV adaptation of the book, which details the final seven days of Julius Caesar’s life.

TVCO will be at Mipcom this October also looking for international partners for an adaptation of Leo Tolstoy’s Anna Karenina. The 2x90′ project is an English-language coproduction for Italian public broadcaster Rai TV between prodco Lux Vide and German producer and distributor Beta Film.
Mosca acquired TVCO earlier this year after leaving his position as head of business affairs at Lux Vide, a role he held for nine years. TVCO helps set up coproductions and provides consultation on distribution, sales, marketing, rights acquisitions, finance and production for international projects. At Mipcom, TVCO will be distributing God’s Country (1x90′), a feature film directed by Chris Armstrong about the redemption of a woman obsessed with money, and Duns Scotus (1x82′), a feature film about the Franciscan theologian who gave the theological explanation for the Immaculate Conception. Meanwhile, TVCO continues to develop other projects that have been written by Mosca, such as historical feature Napoli 1907, written with Stefano Incerti, and Ama La Vita, a comedy feature written with Sergio Savastano and Federico Torre.
