The story of an ancient instrument passing through the hands of a luthier, the soul of a musician and the story of an old forest warden in the Paneveggio Forest in Trentino. This documentary tells the tale of all violins, violins that for centuries have brought beauty and music. Stories are told about Cremona, still cradle of the construction of this ancient instrument; the Violin Museum, which houses some of the most important and priceless violins in the history of violin making; the Val di Fiemme, cradle of centuries-old spruce forests and especially of resonance firs, the same firs used centuries ago by the Cremonese school of Stradivari, Amati and Guarneri. The story of how a musical instrument has continued its magic for centuries. With the participation of extraordinary violinist Alessandro Quarta.
