Joanna, who’s stuck on an island with her disabled and much older husband Oskar, enters into a strange relationship with his caretaker Ada. The two women become entangled in a cat and mouse game with fatal consequences. As Ada’s caregiving shifts to obsession, Joanna, craving companionship, unknowingly trades one form of captivity for another.
